The Declaration of Independence also says that to this cause we pledge our fortunes - a phrase the right always forgets. And the entire point was to create a government that would protect our inalienable rights and not turn them over to religions in cahoots with government. A lot of these people really believe what they say. At least those in the pocket of corporations are understandable.

Even if they did come from God, they can only be enforced by a state.

These people make God look cruel.

Given Ryan's premise, there should then be no need for laws anywhere on Earth. And to think, he is what is passing for a GOP wonk these days. He's a psycho.

I wonder if there are any people out there understand that statements like this are acts of desperation because Ryan and Repugs have no plans. Their plan is chaos..they are trying to destroy the United States.

Exactly - Al Gore called it years ago when he said Republicans are engaging in "a kind of cold civil war." With the election of the first African-American president, the "cold war" has really heated up.
