A great and true speech, a truth many Americans do not want to admit to, being patriotized from early childhood on. Not only a good start for the show, with a great performance from Jeff Daniels, but also something to reflect upon

He brought us "supply-side economics" and union busting and while he didn't bring us deregulation he certainly shepherded it along. He also ushered in the Any Rand thought virus that is poisoning absolutely everything.

Intelligence was prized, it wasn't belittled. I had a friend of mine tell me that Barack Obama was too smart to be President. I responded that I want smart people to run the country. The last dumb-ass was proof that we don't want stupid people to do it.
