Amazing pics at the "Buzzfeed" link posted above. I was particularly struck by the people visible in many of the pictures who look small, insignificant and powerless in the face of this force of nature. In one pic a forest fighting aircraft makes an extremely low level flight over a populated area while dropping fire suppressant chemicals as residents are seen on a balcony watching.
