Poor George. The statement was interesting, how he refers to Trayvon as the "suspect". Poor George tells it a bit differently in this video released by his lawyer:

Exactly. And wasn't Trayvon laying on his hands? The more I read about Zimmerman, the more I can't stand him.

The restraining part is what got me the most too. What kind of monster restrains somebody who has been shot in the chest? Not to mention, I'm fairly sure I read that the body was found face down, and was a very quick death. The whole statement was obviously a blatant lie. None of it matches the phone records or any other logical sequence of events. No wonder the police chief was fired. Everybody involved in that case should be fired.

If he supposedly shot Trayvon while he was on top of him there was a lack of blood on his clothes. Don't shot people bleed?

In addition to that, his comment about Trayvon saying, "You got me," or some bullshit, is so over the top. Trayvon was shot through the heart, per the medical examiner. Trayvon would have never uttered another word once that shot was fired. So that is an obvious--another obvious--lie Zimmerman told.

He did not know the name of the street and had to get out to read the street sign. Not buying that as "Neighborhood Watch" captains will know all of the streets by heart from patrolling them. Cops are trained to know all of the street names on their beats and there's no way Zimmerman would have failed in that.
