Romney speech fails fact-check test - Video on msnbc.com
submitted 3 hours ago by rs6471 Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy [–]arizonaburning In other news, the sun shines bright and the sky is blue... [–]letdogsvote Later at 11, our investigate team will bring you a special report indicating that water is in fact "wet." [–]thankyousir ...and yet this slimy character is neck and neck with Obama. [–]Russell_Jimmy The saddest thing about this is nobody cares, and at this point the American people aren't paying attention. The Romney team knows this and is taking full advantage. The long-term strategy is to discredit Obama and encourage the idea that ANYBODY will be better than what we have. The tactic they are using to accomplish this is to say literally anything--even if it is contradictory to facts or previous positions--in hopes of finding the "magic bullet" that will resonate with voters and cause them to accept their candidate. The campaigns won't really matter until after the conventions, like always. But if the GOP has a resonant message by that time, they have a shot. They need to get the American people to forget that their policies resuulted in our catastrophic ecnomic woes, two stupid wars, and support for Dark Ages social policy. Another thing to keep in mind is that the GOP is attempting to get the American people to sacrifice one set of freedoms for the promise of economic growth. That's what the Tea Party did. Promise fiscal this and fiscal that, and then start hammering all the regressive social policies you can day after day, all the while screaming that the current administration isn't doing enough about jobs and wig out about "The Deficit" which the GOP is laregely responsible for creating. [–]Canada2 No big deal, he can just change his positions to compensate. [–]Dan_K Has he given a speech yet that did?? Will he ever?? [–]tophat_jones It'd be more newsworthy if Romney said one thing that was true. I wouldn't bet on that happening before November 6, however. http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comment..._video_on/ Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous |
