So Obama made a pretty big gaffe today. He said that the private sector was doing 'fine'.

Here's the full quote, via WSJ:

"The truth of the matter is that … we've created 4.3 million jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone... The private sector is doing fine. Where we're seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government," which, he said, isn't getting the support it needs from Washington.

Obama has already backtracked, but is what he said true?

Not hard to see what the President was talking about. The fat cats have made their bundles and are doing just fine.
Of course the repubs will spin it, I thought Boehner was going to have an orgasm as he got on the merry-go-round of waaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

You can tell their position is weak when these bridge trolls all crawled out from under their rocks when Obama said something that sounds like a gaffe, but also happens to be mostly true. Yes, perhaps some small businesses are not doing as good as big corporations IMO, but the lack of private sector hiring could easily be remedied if some of these corporations who hire tens of thousands of people got off their duffs and spent a little of the massive fortunes they are holding. Also, I know of somebody locally who just started a small business and they're doing just fine.

Pass the jobs bill, Boehner and Turtle!

He should stop saying "private sector" and start saying "investor class". They are fine and they need to get up off a buck and stop picking the country apart like a bunch of vultures.
