Sunday Talks, 6/3/12
Read the full article on the blog.

All right, I checked my math twice, and I think it's correct: This week (hold on to your skirts, Martha), we have 5 Democrats and 5 Republicans on the Sunday talkies!

This fall’s presidential election takes top billing again on this Sunday’s television talk shows.

President Barack Obama’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, goes head-to-head with Republican rival Mitt Romney’s senior adviser, Eric Fehrnstrom, on ABC’s “This Week.”

On CBS, “Face the Nation” has Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. And Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) and former Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell also sit in on its political roundtable discussion.

And NBC’s “Meet the Press” hosts a pair of campaign surrogates: Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick for Obama and Ohio Gov. John Kasich for Romney.

CNN’s “State of the Union” has another swing-state governor, Virginia Republican Bob McDonnell, and Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) – as well as Sen. Dick Lugar (R-Ind.), who just lost his bid for reelection in last month’s primary.

It may just be my biased view showing though but Kasich, in recent appearances, seems to have a worn out, tired even dispirited look. I think the loss that was handed to him last November when Ohio soundly rejected his anti-union law has effected and chastened him.

If anyone here watches "Meet The Press" I'd be interested to hear your impression.

I took 2 days off from the news. Really! When I left here Sat. morning before 11am, that was it. It was relaxing....no what if's, no made up controversies and no polls. I watched the Queen float down the river Thames. Wink

edit to add: No internet either! Looking at twitter this morning, I didn't miss anything.
