Democrats and Republicans. this is the most important election in our lifetimes

I know that is a much over-stated statement.. "the most important election in our lifetime!"... used by Democrats and Republicans, Greens, Libertarians, Tea Party etc etc...

But in this case.. the elections both national and local are a pivot point for our Democracy.. that will either keep us a free country or put us under the boot of a select group of billionaires and trillionaires. foreign governments who can now intercede in our political discourse.. and who in turn will have the last say in our lives from this point forward.

Whether you embrace politics as 2nd amendment voter, a socially conscious voter, a fiscal conservative voter, a right to life or choice voter.. this is the tipping point.

It is all about Citizens United.. and the unaccountability of monies flowing in to shift elections away from the citizenry.

Everything we hold near and dear as a country, no matter our political persuasion is on the chopping block.

Any foreign nationals including terrorist organizations if they wanted to, could use a pac and call itself..Patriotic Americans for Justice (an example)..and fund billions of dollars worth of political ads with out having to say who they were.. and tell lies.. outright lies.. and there is nothing we can do about it now,

That is why as Americans of all political persuasions we have to put into office people who are willing to go up against the billionaires and the multimillionaires who want to steal our ability to govern ourselves and get accountability put into advertising of political commericals. God knows it is not all the uber rich.. but it is a select group who see the opportunity to remake America in their image. And with them comes the underbelly who have been waiting to destroy us. because we no longer have the right to know who is funding political ads.

It all hinges on this election.

We have to reach out to our most near and dear, even if they are 180 degrees opposite of us on the political spectrum and work together to bring this to heel before it gets any worse.

"They", who have managed to slink into the backrooms of power in media are counting on us to separate ourselves from each other so they can control the message.

The thing is.. We and I mean the collective we in all voters of all persuasions... can see it, and feel it... we are losing control of our own destinies...

I am willing to stand with anyone and join hands with them to demand accountability...

The justices on the Supreme Court who supported Citizens United will have that mark on them forever... We will study it in the next centuries and wonder who or what got to those justices that they would make such a decision.
