11 Best U.S. Presidential Campaign Posters of All Time
Best? I dunno. I think some of these posters are a bit disturbing. Hard to believe they were ever used with the approval of the candidate.

Wow. Before I scrolled down to the caption I thought Carter was appealing to the old hippie vote.

Nice gallery but the daily beast needs to get a handle on their comment section.

My gawd, what was Jimmy Carter thinking? That is repulsive.
I like the HOPE poster.

A L.A. Times review of a book that contains...
these posters refers to them as "parody posters".

I can't say definitively that these aren't official campaign posters, but it would seem highly unlikely.

whew! It was hard to believe some of these posters could have been in actual use. They would have turned off more voters than they would have attracted.

Carter in that pose? Never -- he'd gag on it. He's too sincere a Christian.
Ford? Oh, c'mon. Maybe -- I wasn't really paying attention to his campaign that year, since I'm not a Republican.
Bobby? Yeah -- he was definitely appealing to the youth vote.
