Hooded "Anti-Racist" Group Attacks White Supremacists in Restaurant

Mayor Ed Zabrocki said police believe the attackers were from a group called Anti-Racist Action, which on its website described the assault as a strike against a gathering of white supremacists.

The law enforcement source said the victims included several people with ties to a white supremacist group. Zabrocki said that was his understanding, too, but that police were still trying to clarify those links.

Ugh. They have the right to verbally express their opinions, no matter how odious they are, without being physically attacked. Now 1.) everyone is assuming the attackers are all black because they wore black hoodies 2.) people are claiming white people are being victimized en masse and are using it to downplay serious racial disparity issues. I'm so digusted by the whole affair. I hope these stupid kids are all caught.

however; I am not surprised.

People are sick and tired of being bullied and threatened. People will stand up for themselves and others one way or another or they will perish. We have seen the results in world history of those that stood by while others were persecuted....perhaps this is dramatic but the kind of things we have seen escalate in this country because President Obama was elected....well I don't think it's at it's worst yet....

Now I know why my racist friend has not posted this story to our list with glee. He's been posting everything he can get on the black teens in alleged gangs who attacked white persons - in Baltimore, I believe. I don't know if those cases are true or trumped up or not.

I'd be interested in the response to the attackers, had it been learned that the white supremacists were planning physical attacks on minorities at that meeting.
