G.O.P. ‘Super PAC’ Weighs Hard-Line Attack on Obama
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/17/us/pol...obama.html

From the article:
Quote:A group of high-profile Republican strategists is working with a conservative billionaire on a proposal to mount one of the most provocative campaigns of the “super PAC” era and attack President Obama in ways that Republicans have so far shied away from.

Timed to upend the Democratic National Convention in September, the plan would “do exactly what John McCain would not let us do,” the strategists wrote.

The plan, which is awaiting approval, calls for running commercials linking Mr. Obama to incendiary comments by his former spiritual adviser, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., whose race-related sermons made him a highly charged figure in the 2008 campaign.

“The world is about to see Jeremiah Wright and understand his influence on Barack Obama for the first time in a big, attention-arresting way,” says the proposal, which was overseen by Fred Davis and commissioned by Joe Ricketts, the founder of the brokerage firm TD Ameritrade. Mr. Ricketts is increasingly putting his fortune to work in conservative politics.

...

The rabid racism RW aren't even attempting to hide their racism, not to mention their desperation. If that's all they have...they're gonna have a really rough campaign.

The comments show that society is nowhere near post-racial. Facepalm

Game on. Willard wants to talk religion....but only someone else's. Oh hell no!!
It's time to question everything Willard does as to is this how he counsels his underlings in the LDS. What is the LDS stance on everything, would Willard use his teachings to turn the US into a theocracy?

Right now Willard and McCain are saying oh no, don't talk about Rev. Wright. McCain has some leg to stand on because he didn't....but Willard already has. And we all know how Willard lies.

This would be Romney's worst nightmare, and would open the gates on his religious beliefs, and that's one thing he really doesn't want! There are already a whole lot of republicans the will NOT vote for him because of his religion, and if these clowns think they can make shit up about Obama, then they will be opening the gates on Romney's religion and unlike making shit up and putting president Obama's face on some actor Romney's religious beliefs would be fair game, and harder than hell for Romney to defend.

I really don't think Romney is going to be happy if these guys go through this this crap and he has to start defending his religion and their out of mainstream beliefs.

[/quote]Oh yes they're going to vote for him b/c race trumps religion. They may not like it, but they'll hold their nose and vote for Romney.

G.O.P. ‘Super PAC’ Weighs Hard-Line Attack on Obama
One of my favorite remarks from the comments section on this story:

Quote:RALPH THOMPSON, DINGMAN'S FERRY
I'm a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, always voted GOP, I'm a white male, age 64. I'm
in the group that the polls say do not support Obama. I told my friends, all in the
same group to check out what You are doing. As a group, We've decided to
contribute, volunteer, and VOTE for Obama. Good Job! :applause: Wow

The comments section on this story is excellent reading, too, btw!

Edited to add: Given the Obamas' dedication to helping veterans, I have to ask myself why in the world this fellow was in the "don't like" column in the first place, but as the Obama campaign says, "forward!" - and I'm glad to see that Rickett's disgraceful nonsense has already pushed many who were on the fence to commit to re-electing the Prez.

I've never understood how a single person in the military could support the GOP after the Bush years and how his administration throw their lives away needlessly.

The Full Proposal
Here is the actual document for "The Defeat of Barack Hussein Obama." It's 54 pages long and shocking in that it gives us a birds-eye view into the absolute hate the Reich has for the President and I think it is a preview of what's to come:

Holy crap.

This certainly stood out:

Quote:There will be very little stock footage in the fiilm, other than shots of Obama. All will be shot in hi-definition by SPI’s crew, directed by Fred Davis and will include custom music, etc., including a final step giving the end product a film-like appearance. The face replacement technology utilized involving the placement of Barack Obama’s computer-generated face on the filmed body of a similarly-sized actor is relatively new, not inexpensive, but we feel it will be one of several elements that will insure your film is not mistaken for a typical political “video”. This is much closer in scale and quality to your theatrical productions.

What are they going to have this CGI Obama doing, praying to Mecca, urinating on the flag, raping little old ladies while strangling puppies?

Putting a candidate's face on actor, and then having that actor portray things that NEVER HAPPENED seems way over the line for a political ad.

There are a people out there who will fall for it.

Yes, that really stood out to me too!. And I think your suspicion that they might show CGI Obama praying to Mecca or pissing on the flag is probably what's going on in their sick minds!

Yeah. I'd say 60% of the U.S. population.

Willard approves of these tactics
but when the same tactics are used against him he whines like the brat he is. Willard better stop Sean Hannity and others like them wanting to bring Rev Wright up again.....if they continue on this path the Morman church is fair game.

Willard was kind of a church leader and he was cruel. I don't want that kind of person in the WH.
