Romney fails on the facts when it comes to the President’s vacation days
Dedicated to running a smarter, more efficient government, the Obama administration has targeted billions in wasteful spending, including cutting funding for promotional “swag” at federal agencies and reducing improper payments by over $20 billion. However, when asked how he’d reduce waste and excess, Mitt Romney ignored the President’s record and decided to attack him about vacations. Romney told the National Review:
“People have to see that the president is not taking elaborate vacations and spending in a way that is inconsistent with the state of the overall economy and the state of the American family.”
<..> If Romney finds vacation days truly wasteful, perhaps he should take a look at his own record of vacations while he was governor of Massachusetts. Romney spent 212 days out of state in his last year in office alone, “racking up more than 200,000 miles in the air and traveling to nearly 40 other states to lay the groundwork for his 2008 White House campaign” while he was supposed to be governing Massachusetts. One summer, he had to cut one of his vacation trips short after a Big Dig tunnel collapsed and claimed the life of a woman. But the Boston Herald reported that he swiftly “returned to finish his weeklong retreat at his 12-acre waterfront home” in New Hampshire.

What the hell Willard. You haven't had a job since 2007, that's a long vacation. 5 years of doing nothing but making up shit about Obama makes you a real slick fella.
