not an 8 year old.. 18 in the sixties saw you in Vietnam fighting for your life, for the those who could not get into college or had influential parents who get you in France for a couple of years doing missionary work? (give me a break!)

http://www.salon.com/2012/05/07/romneys_...cowardice/

He pulled several pranks on a teacher with seriously compromised eyesight, once “escorting” him into a closed set of doors and “giggling hysterically” when he ran into them. Another time he propped up the back axle of the teacher’s VW bug and laughed as the man hit the gas pedal “with his wheels spinning in the air.” Hilarious!

While Lauber who was the kid who was held down and had his hair chopped off got kicked out of Cranbrook for smoking a cigarette.. Romney got off scott free being an abusive bully..

http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/cl...bully.html

"Lauber, however, was kicked out of Cranbrook, a private all-boys boarding and day school, when someone saw him smoking a cigarette, alone."

There is something wrong with this man (Romney) who cannot even feel the least bit of shame or remorse.. because he forgot?

edal “with his wheels spinning in the air.” Hilarious!"

Thoughtful responses are the first victims of partisan passions.

According to psychologists, the guy already exhibits two of the three main characteristics of sociopathy - abuse of humans, abuse of animals. If we find out at some point that he was a bedwetter, that will make the trifecta.

When I read this a few days ago I thought I read that he led the blind teacher into a closet. Now I see it was a set of closed doors. That student would be expelled at any public school in the country, which might get reduced to a suspension if he had parents who were important in the business community. Did this stuff not come out when he ran for Governor? Makes me nervous to think he was able to get through all of his negatives and be elected in Massachusetts.

There's nothing like the level of scrutiny that comes with running for President. Most state level news outlets won't do that kind of exhaustive research and they might ignore it even if a reporter did find out.

You have to understand the guy and how he proceeds to sell himself. We saw this in spades when he was taking charge of the Winter Olympics in 2002 in Salt Lake City. He charges in with smarm and "charm" and that good ol' we know what's best for you patriarchal grin, and before you know it he's leading you around by the chin so fast and in so many directions you don't even think to vet him. It's a nice trick when you think about it.

The good part is that he did not count on how all this would be coming out in his presidential run. He is the kind who thinks the WH is his privilege and entitlement and it would be a cakewalk to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He's about to get a heap of schoolin' on that note.

I don't know about any of the local particulars, but I have to say the SLC Olympics was the best in decades.

I can see how it works though because that's how it works in my local town. Anybody who comes in with a bit of charm and the money to back it, has the entire town swooning at their feet. That or attend the church that all the muckitymucks attend. Anything else and they literally starve you out, I've had a couple people tell me that accidentally. So I think I get it and I don't think that will work quite so well at this level.

This is probably the first real vetting Willard has had, and it's only starting. The man has a lot to answer for...like buying and destroying all the records from his time as gov of MA. Like supporting business in Iran. Like keeping his money offshore.

Willard is a dirty person in his dealings. Add that to his bullying, his arrogance in thinking he can get by with anything and you have the kind of person the GOP will try to shove into the WH.

People DO NOT change
It's as simple as that.

Knowledge grows, wisdom can be acquired, self-contol can be learned but underneath, people do not change.

So true. They just modify.

This shows 2 things: the unfavorable side of Romney and the lack of respect that the repubs have for him. G.W.Bush* had the deserter incident during his TANG days; he also had a political machine that forcefully supressed any investigation and got Dan Rather fired. Romney doesn't have that to keep any damaging past incidents from coming to light.
