.@ABC going with a special report on the network at 3 p.m. #gaymarriage

PBO gave an interview with an ABC reporter today, and the press corp is assuming he will state his position on marriage equality. So the drama is huge, twitter is damned near broken already with the pundits trying to guess and writing huge gobs of what if's.

I'm tuning in..... roflmao

..... I hate to be the last to know!

They said ABC ppl were forbidden to tweet, or say anything until the video is shown. Drum roll..................

I was just coming in to see if anyone had heard anything yet..

I hope the President comes out with full support for equal marriage for everyone.

It may cost him Iowa.. I know that because of the 2010 election and the hair pulling to get people out to support our judges who gave us equal marriage..but could not..

But this is not about winning or losing the election.. he has done everything he could to support the community except say he could support the word marriage ..

Its about taking a stand..and letting the chips fall where they may..

That is where I stand..

Edit to add..just heard on MSNBC that the President has endorsed equal marriage for all.. GOOD FOR YOU MR PRESIDENT .. I am proud of you

Just had to stop by "Site B" and here to check on the reaction, and on "Site B" the characterization of the president's announcement includes (because he has acknowledged the role of state law):

Sit down, shut the fuck up and let Heterosexuals decide whats best for us!

You saw how that worked so well last night, President Obama.

And: the demand that the president move the Democratic National Convention from North Carolina -- or else!

For those of us who went through all that drama back on Site B in 2009, I think this confirms that some cliques don't have rational political thoughts, but are simply permanently pissed off as a result of some sort of psychological disposition.

Permanently pissed off is a good description. If anyone is happy they're going to do their damnedest to show it's not good enough. I let them rot in peace....their games are just replays now.

I did the same, and the usual suspects are still bitching and complaining, saying things like "While welcoming the evolution, I am still underwhelmed" and "He still thinks it is a states issue."

"Underwhelmed?" What do they want? For Obama to announce he's gay, is divorcing Michelle and is going to marry Joe Biden? Banghead

And yes, until the Supreme Court says otherwise, or until Congress hands him a bill making it a federal "issue," it is still a states issue! The federal government didn't end the ban on interracial marriage, the Supreme Court did by ruling it unconstitutional. That's why Obama has stopped defending DOMA, and that's why Prop 8 is headed for the Supreme Court.

You know what's worse than right-wing hypocrites? Left-wing hypocrites!!!
