Fox Now Asking: Is The Drop In Gas Prices A Bad Thing?
May 09, 2012 1:03 pm ET by Shauna Theel

Earlier this year, Fox News hyped the rise in gasoline prices, blaming President Obama even though experts agree that worldwide market factors, not U.S. policies, set gas prices. So what is Fox saying now that gas prices are falling?

Seriously.

You know who else sees the drop in gas prices as a bad thing? Republican strategists who were hoping to reap the political benefits of high gas prices at the polls this year.

Stuart Varney, the Fox Business host pictured at the top, tried to explain the claim that the recent gas price drop might be "BAD," saying it may be "just a sign of a weakening economy." The Wall Street Journal reported that one of the reasons for the drop in gas prices was the "softening economies in the U.S. and Europe," along with easing tensions in Iran and changes in the oil market.

Who didn't see this coming? The damned idiots.

"Some say that it's not a good thing to have lower gas prices. How do you respond to that?"

"Well Sean, it's true. Lower gas prices are a sign of Obama's weakness in leadership and could also result in many oil company executives living with added hardship due to decreasing profits."

Remember when they went up during Dubya's administration? They were saying then that it meant increased demand, which meant the economy was doing well. The usual double sided Republican talking point.

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Barack Obama

Is féidir linn.

More Faux anus droppings. The end.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Only the brain dead (like my sister in law) believe the constant bullshit that Fauxsnooze spews.

RE: Fox Now Asking: Is The Drop In Gas Prices A Bad Thing?
That will be a tough sell even to the droolers that watch Fox. They see their weekly gasoline bill going down, and would be hard pressed to see that as a 'bad thing'.

I suppose that weakened world-wide demand for refined petroleum hurts Big Oil, and they put out the word that high prices at the pump are a 'Good Thing' now.

Until this nation breaks the strangelhold that Big OIl has on this nation, Republicans will get the funding to do what they want. It always comes back to the Oiligarchs, always.

The funding of the Christian Right.

The funding of the Libertarian 'think-tanks'.

The funding of the ant-tax crowd, Norquist, et al.

The funding of the anti-Global Warming morons.

The funding of Fox, which is a Saudi prince's plaything.

I could go on, but you get the picture.
