Sunday Talks, 5/6/12
Read the full article on the blog.

With President Barack Obama formally launching his reelection campaign this weekend, Vice President Joe Biden headlines this Sunday’s television talk shows with an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Afterward, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), a key supporter of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, sits in on the network’s weekly political roundtable discussion.

Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich, who just ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, is on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and CNN’s “State of the Union.” (And you thought Newt would go quietly into that good night.....okay, I know you really didn't think that.)

CBS also has Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who’s now backing Romney after abandoning her own presidential campaign; Sen. Chuck Schumer, (D-N.Y.); and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.

And CNN has as well the heads of the congressional intelligence committees — Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) for a look at the war in Afghanistan a year after the death of Osama bin Laden.

Additionally, former Ohio Gov. Ted Stickland, a Democrat, and former Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), stop by to assess the presidential prospects in two key battleground states the president is visiting on Saturday to kick off his reelection bid.

ABC’s “This Week” has senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz), another key Romney supporter (this is what, his billionth appearance?).

I turned on ABC to hear Jake Tapper acting like an inquisitor to Axelrod. What an ass, I thought I had hit Fox instead of ABC.
And then McCain came on and Tapper was all smiles.

CBS just coming on here.

Newt's continuing, pathetic struggle to maintain relevant. Brings a tear to a glass eye.
