Okay, this was just posted to my facebook wall by someone I'm trying to bring 'into the light', so to speak. I've already responded, but I'm curious how others would answer this. My own response was worded to keep in mind that others will see the post. Given that same consideration, how would you respond?

I can't. I do not have the patience to deal with this ugliness. This person is too far gone. To compare our wonderful President to the murderous madman that killed 3000 Americans! I just can't .

How do you respond to that mentality? I'd block the person and delete the message.

I don't know how to bring someone into the light whose head is so far up their ass. I would delete that off my FB so fast it wouldn't be funny. Using the SEALS to spread hatred is disgusting. Those SEALS signed the American flag that was on that mission and presented it to our POTUS. That's how THEY felt.

When bin Laden was killed everyone was saying "Obama got Osama", including me. This one FB friend started arguing with me and saying Obama didn't deserve any credit, and we went back and forth and I explained how if the raid went wrong Obama sure as hell would have got the blame, just like Carter did when the rescue mission to free the hostages went bad, and I also posted a bunch of links showing how everyone, especially those on the right, gave Bush all the credit when Saddam Hussein was captured.

Well, she wouldn't budge and even deleted my posts that showed how Bush got credit for Hussein! So then and there I said to hell with her! You can't reason with these people so why even try, so off my friend list she went, and since then, I've had a zero tolerance policy for anyone who posts Reich-wing crap on my wall!

I do have some friends that lean right and/or are conservatives and I don't mind if someone has a conservative view but the teabaggers I have no use for at all!

Prior to eliminating this person from my contacts I would probably respond, "I couldn't have said it better, it is time the voters got rid of the Republican party once and for all time. I am glad you agree."

Who is the CIC of the SEALS and ordered the operation? That is what is so totally illogical about that silly FB post. Why would President Obama order them to go after bin Laden then? If he wanted to destroy America, he'd have left him alone, like Dubya did.

I guess then the Marines were to blame, not Jimmy Carter, right? (Loved it when somebody pointed out the hypocrisy there).

The mistake that we have been making is thinking that if we ignore the threats that they will go away. They won't...it's time to stop pretending that they don't mean what they say.

This is a threat to the President and as such should be taken seriously.

That's what I would say.

lol, and if it had gone badly, it would have been Obama's failure, NOT the Seals - see Tehran, Somalia, and Sudan "aspirin factories". I guess we should all shut up about that whole Lincoln winning the Civil War thingie, and FDR keeping the French from speaking German -- although I imagine there are some "Americans" who wish we would shut up about any Democrat who ever accomplished anything.
