Fort Knox cancels Ted Nugent concert due to comments on President Obama

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Fort Knox has cancelled a performance by rocker Ted Nugent because of recent remarks he made about President Obama.

Nugent was to meet with the Secret Service on Thursday to explain those comments, which some people have interpreted as a threat.

<..> REO Speedwagon and Styx are still scheduled to perform at the show on June 23, and Fort Knox says it's possible that a replacement for Nugent could be found.

This was absolutely the right thing to do. The troops deserve much better than the man who hates their Commander-in-Chief.

That's good to hear.

I suppose Nugent will blame Obama for that too. But then, I would expect nothing less from that whiny ass jerk.

Clap

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Good choice. I truly think that there is something amiss with Ted Nugent.

Thoughtful responses are the first victims of partisan passions.

Surely the officials at Ft. Knox could have done better than some draft-dodging, unpatriotic, talentless, washed-up and out has-been hack.

Same concert scheduled in May for Springfield, MO. Will be interesting to see if Nugent is on that stage then.

The qualify of supporting celebrities is astounding. For once, Repubs have a rock star they can use songs of. Usually they are told to cease and desist.

The irony of this whole Ted Nugent issue
is that the things Nugent has said far exceed anything the Dixie Chicks did and yet the Right Wing wraps him in the flag and protects his free speech. They did the opposite with the Dixie Chicks, they destroyed them.

I hope Nugent feels like he was run over by a great white buffalo, and that it backed up and shit on him too.

Does the cat have Ted's tongue?
It's been two days since Ted's good buds from SS came to visit and Ted has been rather quiet since.

What's up with that Ted?
