Romney Responds To Obama’s ‘Silver Spoon’ Comment

<..> “I’m certainly not going to apologize for my dad and his success in life,” Romney said. “He was born poor. He worked his way to become very successful despite the fact that he didn’t have a college degree and one of the things he wanted to do was provide for me and for my brother and sisters. I’m not going to apologize for my dad’s success. But I know the president likes to attack fellow americans. He’s always looking for a scapegoat, particularly those that have been successful like my dad.

It appears that Fox is now Willard's personal tv network where he goes to whine quite often. He does need to get some new material though concerning his money. How many times have we heard "I'm not going to apologize for success"?

Does he really think President Barack Hussein Obama hasn't had any success? Facepalm

But, Mitt, what have you done for me lately?

I get so sick of his snarkey comments. He never has anything nice to say.

Interesting...Willard whining as if Obama was directly referring to his dad. No, George Romney wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth.....but Willard was....

Silence is consent.

So his "dad" was a regular guy, but did his dad have numerous offshore bank accounts to hide his money so he didn't have to pay his fair share of taxes?

Did his dad make his fortune on buying companies, firing employees, closing companies down and sticking the government with paying the retirement funds to those who had retired from the company?

One thing his dad did do was put out his tax forms for something like 12 years into the past, so why doesn't Mitt take a lesson that from his dad?Shrug

The problem with being born into privilege is that you are absolutely sure, no matter how old you get, that you earned every penny of what was given to you, on your own.

While very true, this just makes too much sense for Romney to ever get it.

I keep wondering why it's not okay for the Obamas to even take a vacation because it's elitist, but it's okay to nominate Mitt Romney and the Bushes. No wonder they're always wanting candidates to have a beer with, you have to drink a barrell to wash that shit down.
