Reporter undergoes ‘unnecessary’ transvaginal ultrasound to frame abortion debate
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/cutline/repo...26605.html

......"Megan Carpentier, executive editor of the progressive news site hub Raw Story, decided to have a "completely unnecessary transvaginal ultrasound" and document the experience for readers.

It was vigorously uncomfortable," Carpentier wrote, partly "because the technician has to press the wand directly against the areas she wants to get an image of—your uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovaries—so there's more movement and more direct contact with pressure-sensitive areas of your body."

Edit to add: The republicans do not want people to have access to insurance (private insurance by the way) because they say it is against the constitution..but they are willing to put women through torture ordered by the state.

The wingers won't like this, it shows how invasive the procedure is.

They were medically necessary... but I had to be talked to in a very stern manner by my doctor before I would consent to the second. It was all I could do NOT to bawl my eyes out, both times. It's by far the worst medical experience of my life.

Everything is okay. I hope to avoid any future testing. Saints willing and the Goddess's don't mind.

I've had the probe done just once and I pray to gawd I never, ever have to go through it again. Twice and they'd have to strap me down.
