Hillary Clinton 2016: Democrats top choice, poll suggests
Here’s a text to Hillary: Run in 2016.

Several years out, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton holds a whopping lead over other possible Democratic candidates for the White House, according to a new survey out Tuesday.

Clinton received 57 percent to Vice President Joe Biden’s 14 percent, according to Public Policy Polling.

Elizabeth Warren, currently running for a Senate seat in Massachusetts, gets 6 percent, while New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo receives 5 percent. Former Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold receives 3 percent.

She'll be around 70. She certainly could make a run at that age, but getting the fire in your belly and drudging through a campaign would be daunting. That said, I think Reagan was 70 or thereabouts when elected.

RE: Hillary Clinton 2016: Democrats top choice, poll suggests
I really, really, really, really wish we could repeal the 22nd Amendment and run Obama again. By the end of '16, I have no doubt the economy will have fully turned around, we'll be on a viable path like we were in the 90s and the thought of handing the nation over to the Republicans scares the the fuck out of me. And since it's rare a party holds the White House for three consecutive terms (it's only happened once since FDR-Truman, with Reagan-Bush), Obama is probably the best option to run and win in '16, since he would be the sitting president (I believe had Clinton been able to run in '00, he would have probably done a bit better than Gore and won the election outright).

Not going to happen, obviously, but yeah. My guess is that the Democrats lose the White House in 2016, unfortunately - unless Hillary runs. She's probably the only Democrat, outside Obama, who could run and win.

I'd support Michelle in a heartbeat.

I'd like to get 2012 won before starting the 2016 campaign. All it does is take the focus off of Obama.

I think Hillary would maker a great president and I'd certainly vote for her, but I'm wondering - does anyone know if Biden has ruled out running for president in 2016?

I don't think he has ruled it out, but he should.
Biden would be 73 in 2016.

The average person born in 1942 only makes it to 65.9 years of age. (Far be it for me to call Joltin' Joe "average" though.)

I don't think most voters want to elect a President who is statistically liable to check out
before his/her term is up.

Reagan was the electorate's anomaly who, while still alive after eight years, wasn't mentally competent.

Hillary would have to solidly sheath the Iran War rattling sabre before I'd support her.
