She's already walking it back since the initial landslide where she was such a pitiful victim. When she was heard gloating about the made up slam she suddenly doesn't look so good. And they know it.
While I am one who can totally relate to what Hillary Rosen said, I thought, "okay, Ann Romney felt like she was being attacked for being a stay-at-home mom and took offense to it. " Considering some of the crass things that have been said about Michelle Obama, I thought Ann Romney got off easy. Still, the GOP jumped on it because they thought it gave them an opening to reaching women. But, when I read the "birthday comment", that went beyond the pale.
To keep this mode of attack up, the GOP know it will bite them in the ass. If it weren't for their millions, she may have played it off better, but with two cadillacs, nannies, multiple houses,etc., nah...
