Obama's Secretary Pays Higher Rate Than Boss, White House Says

April 13 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama's secretary pays a higher tax rate than Obama on far less income, according to a White House spokeswoman who said the example bolsters Obama's push to raise taxes on top earners.

"The president's secretary pays a slightly higher rate this year than the president on her substantially lower income, which is exactly why we need to reform our tax code and ask the wealthiest to pay their fair share," White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said today.

Obama today released his 2011 tax returns showing he and his wife, Michelle paid 20.5 percent in federal taxes on their $789,674 in adjusted gross income.

The secretary, Anita Breckenridge, is paid $95,000 a year, according a White House report last year to Congress on staff salaries. Brundage declined to release any details about Breckenridge's return or precise tax rate.

They are screaming about legal deductions the President and his wife paid, they are talking about "see he is paying less taxes...", so they are saying everyone is the same. What they are not saying is he is trying to change the rules so that his taxes are raised....
