George W. Bush took Romney’s big day to announce, “I don’t miss the presidency.” The former President also seemed distressed over the naming of the Bush tax cuts. He thinks they’re likely to get raised if they’re named after him.

Bush seems as confused as he was when he was in office, as he worried that repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich would take money out of the pockets of “consumers”. You always knew he saw us as little cash machines for his friends.

<..> If you miss being treated like a breathing cash machine for corporations, have no fear. Bush’s less warm and less compassionate counterpart is running for President and he wants to double down on deregulation and letting private industry rape the country and her citizens for short term profit. Oh, those were the days.

If you miss Bush and the steepest recession in a very long time, you can vote for Mitt Romney. He might not wear the cowboy hat with the same reckless finesse, but Romney can gaffe with the best of them. He loves NASCAR; his friends own a team.

I had blanked out what a poor speaker dubya was. He still smirks, he still lounges at the podium, he still lies his ass off. And Willard is waiting to get his chance at the WH. Facepalm

I've had people tell me the problem with Bush is that he is a liberal Republican. Of course they say the same thing about Romney. Come to think of it, if Romenycare is the same as Obamacare, then I bet a lot of people will vote for Romney because they'll get health care AND tax cuts - Woohoo! Yes, I think people believe that nonsense.

I love it that they insist on putting themselves into this trick bag. They know they can't elect a batshit crazy radical, but no one can be nominated without pandering to and placating the batshit crazy radicals. So what do they get?

Romney. Cain. Santorum, who single handedly alienated a large chunk of women voters because he's such a batshit crazy radical. Perry. The same candidates never had a chance and Ron Paul brings a rather creepy cultist veneer to the whole thing.

And speaking of creepy, how about W's "joke" about the one legged veteran bicyclists? He thinks he made these people better with his bad foreign policy decisions?

As painful as it is to remember how awful the boosh years were, we need the reminders. It helps us to appreciate how much better things are with President Obama in the WH.
