Arpaio to DOJ: 'I WILL NOT SURRENDER MY OFFICE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'
The Justice Department said Tuesday that any agreement they reach with Sheriff Joe Arpaio must include a monitor to make sure the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office isn't violating the civil rights of Latinos. Here's how Arpaio's office responded:

If I wasn't convinced before (and I was), I am certainly convinced now that Arpaio is a dangerous man. He must fancy himself a dictator.

Silence is consent.

Wow that little power dictator has spoken. Seems to me like the he will comply or be in a heap of trouble.
The idea of a sheriff blatantly discriminating in 2012 makes me wonder what else AZ does to harm it's peoples.

RE: Arpaio to DOJ: 'I WILL NOT SURRENDER MY OFFICE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'
These local and small-town "elected" dictators have far too much power and too little oversight, and it seems that the mayor's office and the county are too afraid to do anything about it. Racial profiling and various incidents are swept under the rug or buried in governmental procedure. Either way, the sheriff runs amok and certain people suffer more for it. It's past time for the federal gov't to start putting these sheriffs and other local officials on trial for letting them run rampant.

Setting himself to be a Right Wing Martyr.

He knows his days are numbered now, so he is going to go down in flames and hit the talk show circuit to cash in on how he got railroaded.

Funny how the right wing had no problem with Michigan usurping the will of the elected officials in certain towns...oh, I forgot, those were mostly Black people living there, so it was alright to do so.

I'm thankful he's 80 years old.

That almost sounds "Ruby Ridge" like doesn't it?
The dude is going to go to jail, I hope in pink underwear and ankle cuffs.
