Tractor trailers in the air on the live feed earlier on MSNBC. Unreal!

RE: Tornadoes hitting Dallas area
I was in my car and it went from sprinkling to hailing big chunks of ice. It freaked me out. I sat under a bridge for a few minutes to keep the hail from cracking my windshield. I think it caught a lot of us by surprise. So many lost their houses from tornado damage. The one silver-lining is there have been no fatalities reported as of yet.

I lived in Ft. Worth for a couple of years and was at a Rangers game one day. It started to rain and people started heading for the exits. Me, being from the Northwest, though, feh! What's a little rain. THEN the hail hit and I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life! Once the hail passed, I went out to my car to go home. The windows were okay, but my car looked like someone had taken a ball peen hammer to it! YIKES! I had never in my life been in a hail storm like that!

I'm so glad that no one was killed today. I was watching the live footage when the tornadoes were happening and my gawd!

Silence is consent.

Glad you are ok. I watched on tv and the skies were so black and it just kept coming.
I did hear that there is a great warning system and that people had advanced warning to get to shelter. Good to know and that it saved lives.

I talked to my people back there. The really evil stuff, with semis being tossed around like ping pong balls, was a mile or more to our east. But still, it was pretty hairy for a while.

RE: Tornadoes hitting Dallas area
In addition to great warning systems, FB and Twitter probably saved lives too. Social media really has helped in situations like this.
