Fatal shooting at Oakland religious school

(CBS/AP) OAKLAND, Calif. - A suspect was detained Monday in a shooting attack at an Oakland Christian university that sources said has left at least five people dead.

Law enforcement sources close to the investigation told The Associated Press that at least five people have died after the morning shooting at Oikos University.

<..> Police in nearby Alameda told KCBS that the suspected gunman was taken into custody at a shopping center there at about 12:20 p.m. His identity was not immediately released but the suspect was earlier described by police as a Korean man in his 40s with a heavy build and wearing khaki clothing.

Pastor Jong Kim, who founded the school, told the Oakland Tribune that the suspected shooter had been a nursing student at Oikos but was no longer enrolled.
