(AZ) GOP Legislature continues to boost Obama
(This is from an AZ Republic editorial)

Quote:No one should be so foolish as to believe that mere embarrassment will keep Arizona lawmakers from meddling in the minutia of people's lives.

Or from whipping up some new, wrongheaded scheme to stuff the Obama administration.

But our so-called conservatives are becoming Exhibit A nationally in the case against Republicans taking back the White House. On an almost daily basis, they are producing YouTube fodder for their political opposition.

*snip*

The latest birth-control legislation, sponsored by Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Glendale, is a great case in point.

With her House Bill 2625, Lesko seeks to protect employers whose religious beliefs may be offended by the Obama health-care mandates. It would provide the same exemptions from insuring contraceptives and abortifacient drugs that Catholics are seeking.

In short, it is a pre-emptive strike at the "Obamacare" mandates.

*snip*

Thankfully, Gov. Jan Brewer began letting out word on Friday that she sees the serious problems rampant in this bill. Legislative leaders need to open their eyes, too.

Responsible legislative leaders need to assert themselves. It's getting embarrassing out there.

The bills that are coming out of the red state houses are outrageous.
One after another they are passing bills that will put us back in the days of illegal abortion, the days when the pill wasn't known, and the days where women knew their place.....and shut up and stayed there barefoot and pregnant. Equally outrageous is that republican women are standing up and voting for these neanderthal bills. Don't they realize that if the 'conservatives' had their way, women wouldn't be in those state houses to start with.

I am offended everytime one of these bills passes. Offended as a woman and as an American. Hell no, you're not getting 'your country back'!!
