Appluase Wisconsin state Sen. Pam Galloway (R), facing recall, will resign
Whoa! This is huge news!
Quote: State Sen. Pam Galloway, who faces a recall election this summer, plans to resign from the Senate shortly, leaving an even split between Republicans and Democrats.

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) confirmed her plans Friday and said he believed Galloway would make an announcement later in the day.

Fitzgerald said Galloway was resigning because of health issues in her family. He said he was confident she could have won the recall election.

...

8:22 AM PT: This is what I had thought was the case. From the same article as above, which has now been lengthened:
Quote: The recall election against Galloway would still move forward even though she would no longer occupy the seat, said Reid Magney, a spokesman for the Government Accountability Board, which runs state elections.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Good riddance to another WI repub.

I just caught the end of the Ed show and he said something about that judge Posser (?) being found out in some ethical probe. Anyone know about it?

From the article:

Quote:Madison - The Wisconsin Judicial Commission filed formal ethics allegations Friday against Justice David Prosser for a June incident in which he placed his hands on the neck of Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.

The commission found Prosser violated three provisions of the ethics code for state judges.

Its request for sanctions against Prosser was filed with the state Supreme Court. The confrontation between Prosser and Bradley occurred in front of all but one of the other members of the court.

Prosser issued a statement Friday criticizing the Judicial Commission's complaint, suggesting it is politically motivated. He said the commission is "trying to accomplish through this prosecution what some of its members failed to achieve at the ballot box."

Good! I'm glad they're looking into this more.

Thanks for the info pappy. The woman can run her mouth, as can he, but when someone touches another person it goes to a whole new level.
I am glad it is being looked into more.

I get email from Sen Mark Miller, one of the Wisconsin state democratic senators. The emails will give some update or ask for recall donations. The last one was signed:

"Senator Mark Miller
Co-leader, Wisconsin State Senate"

CO-LEADER ClapCelebrate8Ok

Cool
