The common reply from the aging white male Republican sounds something like, "War on women? There is no war on women. I love women. I love my wife and my daughters. Why would I wage a war on women?"

Entirely missing from any answer I have heard on the right to the "war on women" charge is the word R-E-S-P-E-C-T. It hasn't been used because they don't really respect women. For them, women in politics, the workplace, the boardroom or in the media are either grudgingly tolerated or merely "window dressing".
