Santorum backs nullifying existing gay marriages
Quote:There are 18,000 married gay and lesbian couples in California and at least 131,000 nationwide according to the 2010 census, conducted before New York state legalized same-sex marriage in July.

Rick Santorum says he'll try to unmarry all of them if he's elected president.

Once the U.S. Constitution is amended to prohibit same-gender marriages, "their marriage would be invalid," the former Pennsylvania senator said Dec. 30 in an NBC News interview.

"We can't have 50 different marriage laws in this country," he said. "You have to have one marriage law."

I wonder if any repub gay couples are married. Soon Santorum's candidacy will be invalid and we'll all be better off.
The idea of a radical like him dictating over this country is so wrong.

RE: Santorum backs nullifying existing gay marriages
I am constantly amazed how matters that cannot effect one's own private life or beliefs (much less really consequential matters like war, peace or economics) can so preoccupy people and elections.

My freedom cannot in any way diminish your freedom.

What can diminish your freedom is ideologues gaining power and using that power to take away my freedom because as sure as the sky is blue those ideologues will not stop after they skewer me. Eventually they will get around to your freedoms as well.
