President Obama speaking at AIPAC
I've been listening, very good speech. Tough and supportive of Israel.

From tweets:

"Because over the last three years, as President of the United States, I have kept my commitments to the state of Israel."

President Obama today at AIPAC conference: Israel must always have the ability to defend itself - by itself, against any threat.

POTUS: "I make no apologies for pursuing peace" with Palestinians. #AIPAC

Obama tells #AIPAC when the chips are down he has Israel's back(settlements? borders?)says

President Obama: I make no apologies for pursuing peace.

President Obama today at AIPAC: The fact is, my Administration's commitment to Israel has been unprecedented.

President Obama today at AIPAC conference: I've made it clear that there will be no lasting peace unless Israel's security concerns are met.

Lots of applause, some tepid, but most is approving. Live on MSNBC, but nearing the end now.

RE: President Obama speaking at AIPAC
It was an excellent speech. He get's an "A" from me - and a speech to AIPAC could have been a challenge considering, unlike other Presidents, he's not taking orders from Israel.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

I thought it was really good too. The leader of the USA confirming his support and taking it to the naysayers.

As was pointed out in another thread the President said of his policy towards Iran getting nuclear weapons, "I Don't bluff!"

While he may not bow to Israel to the extent his predecessors did, he's s till too much of a firster for my taste. Improvement, but not nearly where we need to be. I think he'd be less pro-srael if it weren't for the political reality/pressure.

Really? What is a 'firster'?
I don't think President Obama bows to any country, but holds our security as prime.

These comments indicate he holds Isarel's security prime. That is not always consistent with our best interests. We spend a lot of political capital and act immorally, IMO, by holding Israel's interests above others.

Good thing we're all entitled to our own opinion.
