Here is Rick Santorum's (actually, the GOP's also) vision for America:

Oppress:
to crush or burden by abuse of power or authority; to burden spiritually or mentally

Suppress:
to put down by authority or force; to keep from public knowledge; to keep secret; to stop or prohibit the publication or revelation; to inhibit the growth or development

Repress:
subdue to resist a disturbance; to prevent the natural or normal expression, activity, or development

Regress
movement backward to a previous and especially worse or more primitive state or condition

Depress:
to cause to sink to a lower position; to lessen the activity or strength of; sadden; discourage; to prevent the natural or normal expression, activity, or development

History teaches us to learn from past mistakes and move forward. We won't go back. We won't.

They can try and try, but as they saying goes, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Yes, they can try, and they may have successes along the way, but if we look at the history of mankind (and womankind) on this planet, the natural way of things is that they move forward, they progress. And no amount of trickery on their part can ultimately stop that progress.
