Gingrich describes Obama as a national security risk

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Tuesday stood by comments he made the previous day urging voters to defeat President Barack Obama as a "duty of national security."

Asked what he meant by his remarks, the former House speaker said the president's policies pander to Islamic countries and the federal government refuses to "talk accurately about radical Islam."

"I don't think that's very effective," he said on CBS's "This Morning." "I think it's dangerous to America."

<..> Gingrich made the original comments--in which he also blasted Obama as "incapable of defending the United States"-- on Monday while speaking at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

I noticed that many of Newt's and Rick's venues lately have been at religious institutions. I find that particularly raunchy.

Did Newt follow up with tales of Bush and the GOP killing OBL
Talk about brass balls, Newt never lets the facts get in the way of a campaign speech

Considering most of the repubs have more in common with the Taliban than with the rest of us, he's not exactly one to talk.

Absolutely! The Taliban and the Right wingers are two sides of the same coin. Plus Al Qaeda is no doubt hoping for another Republican President as the life span of their leaders has decreased in a big way under President Obama

Yes! And the Taliban looks tame compared to hatemongers like Gingrich and the rest of the religious right, and the religious right has hurt more people in this country than the Taliban or al-Qaeda could ever hope for.

And they deserve the same fate that OBL received as well.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous
