Do you think Republicans really believe the shit they shovel out?
This is from an editorial in the AZ Republic written by Ken Bennett who is Mitt Romney's Arizona campaign co-chairman and the Arizona secretary of state.

I can't stop laughing at how incredibly ridiculous this delusional load of crap is.

Quote:In trying to fix what's broken in the economy, President Barack Obama has further damaged the economy and the country. He has expanded the power and intrusiveness of government on a breathtaking scale.

He has bailed out bankrupt companies while laying a crushing burden of taxes and regulations on the successful ones that create the jobs we so desperately need. He has created a climate of economic uncertainty that is choking off investment and saddled our children and grandchildren with trillions of dollars of debt.

Either ideology, inexperience or both are keeping him from getting things back on the right track. Whatever the explanation, it's plain that he doesn't know how to get the economy going.

The GOP is operating on two principles
first the GOP believes they can win elections by following the old adage that you can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time.

second they having been intensifying the craziness of the radical right through the use of the right wing propaganda machine (hate radio, FAUX news and right wing internet) that acts as an echo chamber.

RE: Do you think Republicans really believe the shit they shovel out?
I think it is a mixture.

Some Republican's are true believers. Rick Santorum, for example, really believes the radical theology he puts out to justify his candidacy and actions.

Other Republicans are cynically pandering to (as NJ Maverick says) "fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time." They use the "big lie" technique to get enough votes to further the agenda they really care about, greed.

It is hard to tell them apart most of the time since the cynical ones are such practiced liars they can sound as sincere as the true believers.

In the end it doesn't really matter since both would drag the rest of us "down the rabbit hole" to their own special little wonderland where up is down and black is white.

I liked the comments too. Doesn't look like very many people are buying the crap he's selling.

Look how they've personalized it
The basic liberal philosophy is attributed to the President as if it was all his idea and all his own.

When you have the wealth and power he has, no one dares tell him to "grow up".
