As a elder (a pre-boomer) white male I can say that I am ashamed when I see or, worse yet, have to interact with men that think like Santorum and his ilk.

Believe me when I tell you, there is no shortage of them and most think that the only men who disagree with them are weak, stupid or (forgive the expression) pussy-whipped. (Projection? Probably!)

As a young man I tended to argue with the neanderthals about race and women's equality and other social issues but came to realize that most were so defensive about their self perceived superiority that no amount of arguing or reason would ever persuade. So now I mostly ignore and avoid.
