I don't know how else to describe Santorum except "Neanderthal". Nice thing about him getting a chance to be on the big stage, Republicans hoping for a return to the bigotry and misogyny of the 1950's are getting a dose of reality this year. Sorry grumpy old white men geezers, we're not heading back to the 50's "good ol' days". Not now, not ever.

2 weeks and I've already seen a poll where Santorum is only up by 4. That's nothing in this crazy primary. Now, there is a small possibility that Republicans will get giddy over the idea of kicking fake plastic "say anything to get elected" Romney in the groin, if so this would be the time to do it (and you know Democrats will get giddy if he loses Michigan.)

RE: I think Romney will win Michigan
It may turn out that Adelson's $10 million to Gingrich is what gives Michigan to Romney and takes it away from Santorum.
I don't know what Gingrich had to do to Adelson to convince him to cough up another $10 million, but I'm pretty sure I'm glad I wasn't there to witness it.

I hope you're wrong - I will be voting Santorum. Weaker general candidate and stretches out the repug race.

I hope you're wrong too! lol
Hopefully the religious right in Michigan will turn out for Santorum, and I don't think Romney is doing himself any favors with his relentless attacks on unions, but Willard does have the big bucks so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Ayatollah Santorum has been kicking the stuffing out Romney in the primaries to significantly drain away alot of his money and support for the big one. Had Ricky actually made it to convention, the RNC would have appropriately been scared enough by the prospect of this whacko to represent them that they would have almost certainly brokered a new candidate. A complete wild card.
Best to go into the general knowing the devil you're gonna dance with, and that Ayatollah Santorum has done sufficient work on him to make him an easy walkover for Obama.
I disagree. Santorum is not so anathema to the establishment that they'd move mountains to rip an earned nomination from him. Ron Paul, yes, Santorum, no. His way-out-there comments on contraception, etc., don't seem as way-out-there to the repugs.
The crazy rants on social issues are quite deliberate, IMO, and drive the focus to where Santorum best stacks up for repugs - social issues. The economy, electability, and inevitability needed to be taken out of focus, as far as Santorum is concerned, and he has done that to a good extent.
Now lay off my man Rick while I don my sweater vest and vote for him Tuesday.
