Ron Paul Campaign Comments on Maine Caucus Results
“Ron Paul will win the most delegates out of Maine tonight”

LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tonight the campaign of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul sent an email to supporters regarding today’s caucus results from the state of Maine. See below for a portion of comments from Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate.

<..> “In Washington County – where Ron Paul was incredibly strong – the caucus was delayed until next week just so the votes wouldn’t be reported by the national media today.

“Of course, their excuse for the delay was ‘snow.’

<..> “And just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top.

Interesting. Who didn't want RonP to win?

RE: Ron Paul Campaign Comments on Maine Caucus Results
If Paul's team is correct about the strategy being played out in delaying some of the caucuses then it may backfire on the "establishment" Republicans.

Paul supporters are committed (or should be,,,but I digress) and possibly a tad paranoid about their treatment by the "establishment". If Paul's team can play on that commitment and paranoia during the week then the turnout for Paul nest week could be huge and overturn, or narrow, Romney's win.

That wouldn't make any numerical difference in the race but the psychological difference could be huge.

Ron Paul, Rick Santorum Suggest Foul Play From Romney Campaign

First Posted: 02/12/2012 11:26 am Updated: 02/12/2012 11:58 am

<..> In an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) suggested that Romney had doctored the results of the CPAC contest.

"I don't try to rig straw polls," he said. "You have to talk to the Romney campaign and how many tickets they bought... We've heard all sorts of things."

Meanwhile, late Saturday night, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) sent an email to supporters that essentially alleged collusion between the Romney campaign and the Maine Republican Party without actually mentioning Romney by name. A portion of the email is below:

<..>
Quote:Rick Santorum has a history of making statements that aren’t grounded in the truth. Yesterday Mitt Romney won the CPAC straw poll and won a separate nationwide survey of conservatives conducted by CPAC organizers. Also, Mitt Romney won the Maine caucuses. Conservative voters recognize that in order to change Washington, we need someone who a creature of Washington.

Quote box is from the Romney camp. With both Santorum and Paul insinuating wrong doings, this could get good.

And they're pimping the "Romney rebound" meme to the media, who are of course running with it.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous
