‘I DON’T WANT TO GIVE THE DEMOCRATS A NICE LITTLE PRESENT’
Those tax returns of Mitt must be pretty damning if he thinks letting the American people know if he has been paying his fair share would be political suicide

Quote:ROMNEY: I WON’T RELEASE MY TAX RETURNS BECAUSE ‘I DON’T WANT TO GIVE THE DEMOCRATS A NICE LITTLE PRESENT’ | GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney endured a hail of boos during the CNN debate last night when he refused to commit to releasing his 2011 tax returns. This morning on Fox and Friends, host Gretchen Carlson asked Romney whether he’d be willing to “make news” and agree to release his returns before April. An obstinate Romney repeated that he will only release his returns once on April 15. “The reason is very simple,” he said. “I want to beat Barack Obama. I don’t want to give the Democrats a nice little present of having multiple releases.” Watch it:

He's making plenty. AND he's spiriting much of it away in offshore accounts to get around paying his pair share of the tax burden.

This needs to be drummed into the heads of the electorate leading up to November.

The DNC and PO cannot let go of this
Romney knows he's vulnerable here. His excuses are getting weaker and more self-serving every day.

What an idiot! Doesn't he understand by refusing to release his tax returns he's already giving the Dems a "little present," not to mention his GOP challengers?!

Hello! Mitt wants us to believe he can meet the challenges Pres. Obama takes on every day, but he doesn't have the guts to release his own tax returns? What a farce!

So he's admitting that it would be
a good thing for the Democrats? So he knows they will damage him.

Exactly! By saying their release would be a 'gift' to his opponents, he is admitting they would be damaging.

I knew Mitt was dumb - but I had no idea he was this dumb.

But could he be so dumb that by making that statement he's admitting there are things he wants to hide? Or maybe it's a head fake and he just wants the noise level to rise about it so when he finally releases them, "under pressure," they will reveal nothing irregular? Afterall, this is a guy who spent millions of his own money to run in 2008. I find it hard to swallow that he would spend that money without blinking because he so desperately wants to be president, yet he would not have the presense of mind to to make sure his financial dealings were in order.

If he is indeed hiding something, he is a class-A moron.

John King mentioned to Mitt that Mitt's father not only released his current taxes, but when back 12 years saying something like just on year could have been a fluke and that 12 years proved more about where they got their money. He asked Mitt if he would do it, and he said "maybe", but went on to spew his BS about "probably" it would be last years taxes he would release in April.

If you as me Mitt's dad was right, and Mitt has no intention of going back any further because he has had time to "fix" his returns, but if they went back say that 12 years he would have a whole lot of explaining to do, and he doesn't want to have to do that. I think the Obama team knows this, and they will be pushing it, as should all the democrats. Mitt is gaming the system to keep from paying his fair share of taxes, and it needs to come out. This clown is a prime example of how the 1% have been raking in billions, and not paying the taxes they should be because of loop holes, and offshore accounts.

What I hope is that Mitt was one of those who had millions in Swiss bank accounts, and the Obama team has the proof, and will let it out as say an October surprise! That would make my day Nanner

You know what I think? I think he has his
high priced tax lawyers trying to figure out a way to pretty up the tax statements. He is willing to submit false information to win.
