RE: Turns out all the allegations against Obama over Solyndra were just BS
It would be nice to think the truth would change any of the bobble-headed liars out there, but we all know better. If we pitch their lies back fast enough maybe they will all drown in the backwash of their own rhetoric. I do believe this year promises to be a bit of a wild ride. I am so glad I am a Democrat!!

It is just bizarre to me how people fixate on him, pro or con. Either he is funny or he is not. Whether he is truthful is not an issue. Comedians rarely are.
IOW, why name him up top? There are a lot of deep problems with the lies told about this issue, and none of them have anything to do with the entertainment industry.
I remember my boss asking me how it was that a president would allow himself to be called "Dude" by someone in the press. My response was: "Dude" is a term of endearment... and this is the kindest thing I've heard anyone on the boob tube call Obama! And the most ridiculous bit is, all you Pubbies are so hateful that you jump at the first thing you can spin into a slight! So rabid is your response that you completely overlook any real issue... such as why the hell is a president allowing himself to be interviewed by a f****** comedian? EGAD! Idiots!!!

Wow. Just wow.
First, Jon Stewart isn't the typical comedian. A good portion of his career and television program is built on the premise that he tells the truth that the real media routinely omits.
Second, it is much like David Letterman making jokes at Obama. He *has* to in order to retain any semblance of impartiality. Consequently he does nothing but harangue on the economy, even when it shows clear signs of improvement. So when Jon Stewart does it, for the same reason, it's good to call him on it.
I am so sick of the insistence that all politicians are crooks and the intimidation people feel to engage in that meme.
Where there's smoke there's fire? Well in politics, where there's Democratic wisps there's an inferno, and where there's a Republican inferno there's just a pretty candle at the altar. Really.

A good portion of his career is built on that perception. He exploits that perception and always has. What he does is take items that are in the popular media and exaggerate them for comedic effect. His act doesn't work unless he does that.
I've never found him particularly funny, although he does hit a nerve at times and can be funny. But it is hit or miss enough that I don't tend to bother unless I know Lewis Black is going to be on.
Still, none of that is my point. I wondered "aloud" why people fixate on him. He didn't start this. He used it for a bit. It was already a raging story when he did so, and it seems to me those who initiated the lie should at least get some small mention as opposed to a comic.
Anyway ... whatever floats your boat. I realize this discussion is pointless and that I probably shouldn't have bothered.
