Oh, no! Is the first act almost over?

Oh, no! Is the first act almost over?
The clowns look like they are winding up their act. Herman Cain is "re-assessing" his campaign, Rick Perry is stumbling over heavy questions like "what is the legal voting age?" and Michelle Bachmann is still looking for clues as to which way is up.

Romney still has to contend with Gingrich and Huntsmann, who both speak English coherently and are not completely insane. Like Romney, they excite no one. When Ron Paul is the most interesting Republican candidate out there, you KNOW they're either in deep doo doo or else Rove is getting to trot out the mystery candidate designed to make the Republican Party breathe a sigh of relief and say "we DO have a viable candidate after all!" At least Roger Ailes would be happy.

Should be getting close to being over. Add to your comments that Arpaio endorsed Perry today....and said he just met him last night. LOL

RE: Oh, no! Is the first act almost over?
I don't know who they would trot out since the so called "heavy hitters" are sitting this one out, and waiting for 2016. Sure they could get some other clown like Palin, maybe, but who else could they toss out this close to the first primary in January who would make the base happy?

I actually think they are going to be more engaged with trying to keep the house, and taking over the senate than with the presidential race. The clowns they have running are even worse than the ones they had in 2008 when they gave it away to McCain. They have no plans at all on how to fix the mess that Bush got us into. Not one candidate has a "real" plan to do anything about jobs. All they have is tax breaks for the rich, and to hell with anyone else, and that just isn't going to get them very far.

"I don't know who they would trot out"

Exactly. No one does. My big question is: does Rove have someone waiting in the shadows, waiting to come riding in on a white (of course) horse when the others crash? Or is this all a big distraction, designed to focus our attention away from the Congressional races next year? I can't believe that Wasserman-Schultz will miss that, and even if she does, Howard will set her straight.

So far I've seen tweets alluding to Johnson and Huntsman running on an Indie ticket. That would spice up the voters.

Okkkkkkkkkkkk...........

Desperate Conservatives Beg Sarah Palin To Run
November 29, 2011

Watching the last “conservative” Great Hope going down in flames as Herman Cain reassesses his campaign approach (code: okay, maybe I did do something inappropriate), Conservatives for Palin see an opening for the Mama Grizzly. Yes, only she can save America from the evil socialist, even though she was the most socialist governor in America during her brief tenure as Governor of Alaska.

Still. God still loves her best — a point that Palin, in an act of supreme humility, demonstrated while Mayor of Wasilla. Yes, Palin had “God Loves You Sarah Palin” put on her official mayoral computer but that pales in comparison to the sweet letter she signed as “Your Heavenly Father” to her friends and family. No one knows God like Sarah. Move over, Michele, Rick and Herb!

<..> Now, I wouldn’t even take this seriously if Fox News hadn’t also mentioned their desire for her to run last week, because where Fox goes, so goes the base.

<..> Sarah Palin tells us that the real challenge is to find someone who can replace Obama and his socialist agenda. I figure she means someone who “sees this country” as she does. With so much at stake, indeed the very old testament Christian Dominionist foundation of this great country at stake, how can Sarah abandon us all when we need her the most? Does she – gasp! – lack the cojones to face President Obama and challenge him based on her version of her record?

I have never seen "Desperate Housewives," but if the women portrayed on that show are anywhere near as desperate as any conservatives "desperate" enough to want Sarah Palin to run, that must be one steamy show indeed!

Trump: I could enter presidential race in May
By Brian Montopoli

Updated 6:03 p.m. Eastern Time

Real estate mogul and television host Donald Trump told Hotsheet Tuesday that he may enter the presidential race as an independent in May if "the right person doesn't get nominated" by the Republican party.

"Come May, when the Celebrity Apprentice is completed, my contract to NBC is completed, I'm a free agent, as the expression goes," he said. "I can make a decision. You know, obviously it would have to be as an independent."

<..> Trump said he has "met with almost all of the candidates numerous times" and that he has "very good relationships with all of them." He said he may make a decision about an endorsement, but said that "if the right person doesn't get nominated, then I'll make a decision about whether to get in." Perhaps most aggressive in seeking Trump's endorsement has been Michele Bachmann, who has met with Trump three times.

Sometimes, instead of Rove and Ailes, I think their whole nominating process is being directed not by Fox but by Comedy Central.

The real and actual problem is that, the person supposedly hiding behind the curtain awaiting his cue to take the stage as the Hero that saves all in peril by the third act, is...nonexistent.
