David Gregory said what?
David Gregory apologizes for making KKK reference about GOP

<..> When asked by Ann Curry if he thought the Republican party would want Cain to "just go away," Gregory said: "There is no, you know, grand wizard in the party right now who can really force the issue."

The reference to a "grand wizard"--a term formerly used for the leader of the Klu Klux Klan--drew the ire of conservative critics, including Hot Air's Ed Morrissey, who called the comment "jaw-dropping."

roflmao Did anyone ask him about this on MTP this morning?

I don't think he was far off the mark, accidentally or otherwise.

Confirmed, Fox "news" makes you stupid

The ones you are noticing are more terrified than anything else. They are lashing out because they are comfortable; and to acknowledge what is happening is a threat to that comfort. Ignore them, for they are not the voices that will rise in the coming days, months and years. They are not the voices of our collected humanity. They are the old voices of fear and impotence. - Anonymous

Probably one of the most honest remarks ever made by Gregory.

RE: David Gregory said what?
David Gregory can apologize, and probably should but anyone who knows the Republican party knows he spoke the truth. They are not minority friendly to put it kindly.

RE: David Gregory said what?
Gregory's being an ass and called on it by Steve Benen:

November 14, 2011 8:40 AM
If it’s Sunday, it’s ‘Meet the GOP Talking Points’
By Steve Benen

“Meet the Press” host David Gregory spoke with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, and the interview was pretty tough to watch. (via Upper West)

<..> When attention turned to debt-reduction efforts, Gregory said, simply as a matter of fact, that Republicans on the super-committee “did agree for tax increases that Democrats have not accepted this week,” and then tried to change the subject. The host wanted to leave viewers with the impression that GOP officials were making a good-faith offer, when in reality they offered some modest revenue in exchange for more tax breaks for the very wealthy. Gregory ignored all of these details, simply passing along the Republican talking point as if it were fact, when it’s not.

<..> I expect this on Fox News. “Meet the Press” is supposed to have higher standards.

RE: David Gregory said what?
Meet the Press transcript for November 13, 2011
November 13: Corbett, Bachmann, Wasserman Schultz, Brooks, Dionne

<..>MR. GREGORY: As we talk about the Republican debates, and the president said this week that he effectively could campaign by just showing these debates, and that he thinks he comes out in favor. Whatever people think about the Republican field, the way they feel about the economy is incredibly pessimistic. Here were the personal views of folks, according to our latest poll, in terms of their own economic situation. And you have 84 percent who think their personal economic situation has either gotten worse or stayed the same. Americans are simply not better off after President Obama's leadership.

REP. SCHULTZ: Well, David, I think also reflective in your poll is a recognition by the American people that President Obama is focused on trying to make sure that the middle class and working families get a fair shake, and that he's fighting really hard to get the economy turned around and has made progress, taking us from bleeding hundreds of thousands of jobs a month to now having 20 straight months of growth in the private sector. And that's why your poll shows that President Obama would defeat any of the candidates in the Republican field right now simply because they understand that he is fighting for the average middle class American to ensure that there's some prosperity for them. And the entire Republican field is focused on helping keep the wind at the backs of the wealthiest, most fortunate Americans.

Debbie WS kept up but Gregory was hell bent on putting down PBO.

RE: David Gregory said what?
That pretty much summarizes the media these days. Make a mistake and apologize to the right, then be biased in favor of the right in your next interview. But they never apologize to Dems for being ass holes.
