A Second Accuser Goes Public Against Cain

Karen Kraushaar, one of the two women who settled sexual harassment claims against Herman Cain with the National Restaurant Association, spoke publicly for the first time on Tuesday about her allegations against him.

Moments later, a defiant Mr. Cain, who is seeking the Republican presidential nomination, once again declared her allegations to have been found “baseless” and repeated his claim that his only offense against her was to have made a gesture about her height.

<..> Ms. Kraushaar had previously allowed her lawyer to challenge Mr. Cain’s denial that he had done anything wrong while at the helm of the restaurant association in the late 1990s. But after Ms. Bialek went public on Monday and several news organizations published Ms. Kraushaar’s name on Tuesday, she said she had decided to talk publicly — at least in a limited way.

She said she did not know whether or how she might tell more of her story, but had been warming “to the idea of a joint press conference where all of the women would be together with our attorneys and all of this evidence would be considered together.”

Some thought that when Ms Bialek came foward that it might give the others courage to give her support. If I were one of them it would really make me frustrated that he's out there calling them "troubled women that the Democratic machine brought forth". Freaking liar. I hate him.

"Herb" Cain was in Scottsdale. I'm sorry I didn't drive across town to the site of the news conference. I saw on the local news one lone woman outside the location protesting Cain and sexual harassment, and oh so predictably, Cain supporters harassing her.
I would like to have joined her. She needed some well-deserved support for her protest.

Sharon Bialek: Herman Cain knows who I am

Sharon Bialek, the first woman to step forward publicly with sexual harassment charges against Herman Cain, suggested Wednesday the presidential contender was lying yesterday when he said he doesn't remember Bialek.

On MSNBC Wednesday, Bialek recounted an incident, which others have said they witnessed, in which she approached Cain at a Tea Party rally.

"I simply grasped his elbow and leaned in towards him to acknowledge he knew exactly who I was," she said. "He acknowledged who I was."

<..> Joel Bennett, the lawyer for Cain accuser Karen Kraushaar, said today that a joint press conference with women who have complained of harassment by Cain could be as early as tomorrow or Friday. He said Kraushaar is reaching out to the other woman who filed a complaint with the restaurant group.
