RE: I may be naive but I just heard that Romney could still be removed

I agree with you, it wouldn't work to replace him, because who would they get? Those so called "big guns" like Jeb Bush, Christie, Thune, etc. didn't even bother to take the time to run because they pretty much know they don't stand chance this year, they plan on waiting for 2016 and hope like hell they can win then.
As you said they are stuck with Willard, another sacrificial candidate like McCain. They gave McCain his shot because they knew they were going to lose in 2008, they are giving Romney his shot for the same reasons, and once he loses he will be out of their hair for good.

So true. It is like GWBush never existed. They want to put distance between what they did to our country, blame everything on Obama, and then when he cleans up their mess they want to get in and destroy us again.
I was born a Truman, but you can call me Pat.

Exactly! They don't have a clue as to how to fix things and as you said, once president Obama gets re-elected, fixes the mess they got us into, then they will do their best to try and take back control of things so they can once again go down the path of destruction. I just hope we find a candidate who can kick their butts in 2016!

PBO is up 1% in the latest daily Gallup poll. This is a very close election, despite Mitten's shortcomings.

Close in the popular vote, not so close in the electoral college. The PV is almost always close, even in electoral college blowouts. Republicans have to be worried over Romney's standing in the electoral college.

He is not Obama, and for most GOP voters, that is enough.
As for the rest, Romney will be shored up with an evangelical, Southern (Mike Huckabee?) VP pick and tons of anti-Obama, corporately-funded ads that focus on social wedge issues.

I think the Ron Paul supporters and teabaggers
are going to disrupt the RNC convention.....and at that point they will only have 2-3 months to recover.

I'm looking forward to it. It may well turn out to be their "Democratic Convention of '68" (for those of us old enough to remember)....yelling and screaming, mayhem, mass arrests, cops in riot gear.
Sounds awesome.
They created the environment and I hope they reap everything that they wished upon America.
