"Sununu: I'll Work Against Huntsman"

HAMPTON FALLS, N.H. -- Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu is no fan of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and intends to work against him in the Granite State's Republican presidential primary if he decides to launch a bid for the White House this cycle.

For Huntsman, the U.S. ambassador to China who will leave his post next month, a pathway to victory in the GOP primary would require a strong showing in the Granite State with its socially moderate Republican voters who care most about fiscal issues.

"Huntsman won't play well here. Huntsman won't play well anywhere, because Huntsman's only barely a Republican," Sununu said in a lengthy interview Wednesday afternoon.

"He's going to try," Sununu said with a sigh. "He's still an Obamaite. We're not going to nominate an Obamaite. And I will make sure the Republican Party does not nominate an Obamaite."

Do you think he could have squeezed in another "Obamaite" in there? Hoping it will catch on?

"It is so important to beat Obama in 2012 that the toughest thing any candidate will have to do is convince people they can win the primary and win the general," Sununu said.

He added, "If Mitt Romney can develop a narrative that makes that clear, he will be the nominee. And if he develops a narrative that makes me feel comfortable, I could support him."

This is the reason it is ridiculous for Huntsman to run.

If he does, more power to him, but he's committing political suicide, at least in the short term. He will *not* survive a Republican primary.

If he does run I'll be interested to hear what he has to say against President Obama and Sununu doesn't seem to know it but Romney is an "Obamaite" too I don't care if he did mock Michelle's organic garden at the CPAC.

Well, here you see it in action. Obama has done a masterful job of setting up the opponents who would likely give him the hardest race in the general election as at least nominally on his side. He's made it very difficult for them even to survive their own primary.

Most people don't understand chess, it seems. Chess masters are thinking of moves they'll be making all the way up to checkmate when they move their first piece, and they play accordingly.

What strategies can pull them intact through their weird KKK-lite primaries and then on to even a fair chance against the President in the general election.

My first thought is cnn and fox will give them all the help they can..I can see them now rubbing their greedy little hands together in anticipation of big fat ratings.

I suppose Huntsman is taking a shot because he's a mod republican and wants to do it for the sanity of his party and his country(I could be wrong). I want to see if he can do it without lying bc I don't think I've seen a repub do that.
