In fairness, we did call Bush "Chimpy" but then he is the person who best resembles a chimp and there is no racism factor.

To me that's apples and oranges.. there was a discussion about it on Benen's blog when someone said he didn't think it was racist because bush was depicted as a chimp. I said "bush acted like a chimp(sorry Chimps) and racists are known to use chimps to depict Black People It's not rocket science."

There was a republicon in Orange County in an earlier report who said she should resign who called this her "third strike" so it's not an isolated incident, either.

Frankly I wish people would stop using that ... and words like "repuke" and the like. It only validates their using the terms in reference to us and is a part of the problem with our political discourse as a whole.
