Latest threads ... thread titles missing at times

Lately I've been going to the latest threads option and a couple of times the thread title is missing/blank (today it is one of nofurylike's threads). Is there a reason for this?

ETA, it was Still A Democrat's thread.

Which thread, specifically, had a missing title?

How often has this happened? Would it be possible for you to take a screenshot the next time you see it happen and upload it here?

I too see the thread title missing on the forum page. It's a thread on the Michigan tea party rally in the In The News forum.

Odd. I've never seen this happen, and I'm not seeing it now. Tried different users, different browsers, and different access levels and can't get it to reproduce.

What web browser and version are y'all using? IE 8, 9? Firefox 3.6, 4.0?, etc.?

And is a screenshot possible?

Darn, I just upgraded to IE9 yesterday so I can't try that one. Tried FF 4, IE9, & GC 10 without seeing it yet.

Just reply to this message using the "Quote" button or "New Reply." Down at the bottom of the reply you'll see an "Attachments" section. Below it will either a "Browse" or "New Attachment" button. Click the button, navigate to where you saved the screenshot, then OK and Post Reply.

Yeah ... it's in a virtual machine I haven't copied over yet. (Did some system maintenance and created a new user for it.) Am doing so now, but there's a few dozen Gigs of data to transfer, after which I have to configure it, so it'll take a bit.

Are you sure this is IE8?

I ask because it looks like you're using Windows 7, and I was under the impression Windows Update was pushing out IE 9 for automatic updates. You can refuse that, I know, but I'm just wanting to make sure.

I have no idea what IE 9 even looks like, so I'm just flying blind here.

I had a huge Windows update yesterday but it didn't include IE9. Strange.

All my updates last night seem to be Office updates.

I was thinking it had something to do with the () and "" used in the subject more than most other threads - perhaps it triggered something unique to IE8, though you'd THINK that we'd have noticed this previously.

No, you were thinking of the right subject. I've been playing with it because I was thinking the same thing.

I removed the parenthesis, and it still didn't show. Then I removed the quotes. Still didn't show. Then I removed the whole damn thing and replaced it with the same line, minus the quotes, and it showed.

I'm like Sherlock Holmes without Watson ... Clue. Less.
