Trying to fight.. "stupid on a stick"
There are times a person just wants to throw in the towel.
There are so many many stupid people. Stupid with advanced degrees. Stupid in places of power. Then you have the low information or the no information voters who tune into Stupid on a Stick central.. Fox News and Talk Radio. Brainwashed 24/7. Why Stupid On a Stick? They can't get out of the way quick enough to go over the edge. Great articles today in DFP about newly elected right wing governors who are turning down billions for jobs in their state that would jump start their economy. We are talking rails in Florida, NJ etc. That just scratches the surface of Stupid. Michigan Governor wants to take away the right of its citizenry in neutering elections and putting in assigned leaders. Stupid. A few more years of this and we are going to need someone to intercede on the be half of the United States to promote a democracy. I had a conversation with my delusional sister in law who thinks the Democrats and the Obama administration have increased the taxes on her pension (this was because the stimulus ended).. Now this woman, who is a die hard righty, mad about everything the President does, is now mad because the stimulus has ended and she has to pay an extra 39.00 a month out of her pension. The same woman who wailed about the stimulus, is now not wailing about the President taxing her. GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH and save me from the terminally stupid. Thoughtful responses are the first victims of partisan passions. |

RE: Trying to fight.. "stupid on a stick"
Yup, it's pretty bad. Have you seen this article? Plenty of scary info, these 2 paragraphs only scratch the surface.
![]() Quote:They’re the sort of scores that drive high-school history teachers to drink. When NEWSWEEK recently asked 1,000 U.S. citizens to take America’s official citizenship test, 29 percent couldn’t name the vice president. Seventy-three percent couldn’t correctly say why we fought the Cold War. Forty-four percent were unable to define the Bill of Rights. And 6 percent couldn’t even circle Independence Day on a calendar. much more here... http://www.newsweek.com/2011/03/20/how-dumb-are-we.html |

The Koch brothers have formed an army of the stupid. This army and their money has done terrible things to our nation.

Maybe I am the delusional one, and stupid on a stick is the norm ![]() According to a study by Michael X. Delli Carpini, dean of the Annenberg School for Communication, the yearly shifts in civic knowledge since World War II have averaged out to “slightly under 1 percent.” [/quote] Thoughtful responses are the first victims of partisan passions. |
