My Polluted Kentucky Home
An excellent op-ed in the New York Times by Silas House. The Kentucky sit-in would be another Wisconsin-strike size story if the media liked to cover problems with coal or things that happen in Kentucky.
Quote:The news media and the rest of the country typically think of mountaintop removal as an environmental problem. But it’s a human crisis as well, scraping away not just coal but also the freedoms of Appalachian residents, people who have always been told they are of less value than the resources they live above. |

RE: My Polluted Kentucky Home
To me that is one of the saddest things imaginable..being contaminated by corporations for profit over life.
Being in this beautiful area of the Planet but sickened by the need for coal burning fuel.
