Once again conservatives are out of touch with America

Interesting study shows what the majority of Americans would cut to reduce the budget and what they want spending increases. Not surprisingly they are the exact opposite of what the Tea Party wants:

Interesting. I wonder what the mainstream pubs think about cutting defense. They always scream that cutting defense is a liberal thing, and now their tea party buddies are wanting it cut.

The only way to cure Republicans of their "conservative" mental disease is for WE, THE PEOPLE to consistently defeat Republicans at the polls. Republicans have to hit bottom and then they will either decide they want to get better, or they will die.

Unfortunate WE, THE PEOPLE saw fit to re-enable them last November mostly by not turning out at the polls to express our will.

If we don't turn out to vote then who is to blame?

I think the problem is the Republican controlled media rather than the people themselves. Take Americans out of the toxic right wing environment and the GOP wouldn't stand a chance.

I agree. I think that is the biggest problem - the Republican control of the media. It sickens me that more of the truth isn't getting out. Instead, the American public is being spoon-fed a steady diet of lies, half-truths, and and utter craziness (a la Beck), and it's being presented as "news".

Every single citizen in this country could have a four-year college education, or technical training certificate with the money we blew in Iraq.

But, let's stay stupid while India graduates a million engineers in the same time frame.
